They work with all types of people in media and music industry, like producers, record labels, managers, songwriters sorting out music publishing, placement and other contracts for their clients. They are basically a lawyer just for artists and bands making sure everything gets copyrighted and they are treated right in the music industry. they can file a law suit if their clients property or copyrights are infringed.
