Being a music lawyer is a legal job in the media industry. To be one you have to have knowledge about the music industry and major record labels. They play a big part in helping bands and artist get noticed and get record deals. They sometimes help bands with negotiating record labels and getting live performance contracts on behalf of the artist or band. They work with all types of people in media and music industry, like producers, record labels, managers, songwriters sorting out music publishing, placement and other contracts for their clients. They are basically a lawyer just for artists and bands making sure everything gets copyrighted and they are treated right in the music industry. they can file a law suit if their clients property or copyrights are infringed.

Financial Job

Head of finance is an important job in the media because this is what is needed to create a production and make sure it happens. Everything involved in the production of a media project uses money so |head of finance has to make sure the right money goes to everyone who's part of all the pre-production, production and post-production including the cast and crew. This job is almost like an administrative job but usually someone in charge of finance would report to an administrative officer rather than work beside them. In this Job you they are responsible for planning, directing, controlling all financial and everyone involved and human resources. Because they are in charge of the money head of finance generally go to the big meetings with the council, this is to sort out what money is going where because without them everyone couldn't do their job because their would be no budget so therefore no structure and maybe a loss in the production. The main jobs in head of finance are to manage accounting and financial systems and maintain full and accurate accounting records. Oversee or monitor everyone else to ensure they are doing there job right involving the finance and recommend corrective actions if needed.

Editoral Job

A film or video editor is responsible for cutting together all of the original footage to create drafts and then a final piece of work. They should create a professional finished product suitable for broadcasting. The material could be footage, audio, sound effects or all three depending on what media purpose the editing is for. The is the main role in the post production process because its where the film or video comes together and people can start to see what the final product might look like, also is determines the quality and delivery of the final product to everyone else and most importantly the audience. In this job you would mostly spend time with the director to get their view on how it should look, his opinion is the most important. Depending on the media project editors may be very involved in creating the narrative, structure or tone of the programme or film. In some situations, this is where editors are given freedom to create an edit how they want to see it, while others may just be needed to operate the machine, get the editing done how the director wants it. Editors usually make a few cuts until they get a final edit.

Creative Job

Animation Designers use animation and graphics software for their job. They are used for cartoon TV programmes or any motion graphics or animation that might need to be in a programme or film. Its a good job to have but its a lot of responsibilty if the film or programme is all animation because they're in charge of all the ideas and work before them everyone has done, they have to design it how the director sees it. They can design and develop in 2-D or 3-D animations for a variety of media purposes. They create charactars, special effects, graphics for websites, multimedia presentations and games. They animate images which makes them come to life to make a sequence of moving images. Their work is found in all sorts of media, adverts, music videos and feature films. Animation designers and usually interested in art and design and have good IT skills.

Admistrative Job

Television production assistants are responsible for the administration, organisation and secretarial work involved in producing a television programme. The work includes assisting actors and the crew, issuing scripts, dealing with travel and accommodation bookings and sorting out enquiries and other paperwork this is all helping with he production because all of these things need to be sorted for there to be a production. Being a production assistant is actually very important because even though your not as high as the person telling you what to do, your actually in charge of doing it and things wouldn't get done without you. A production assistant may work on different kinds of programmes, such as news, reality television shows, soap operas, dramas and comedies. They are usually involved at all stages of a project, working alongside everyone from early stages. Some tasks assistants would normally have to do are, attending production meetings, typing, editing, copying and distributing scripts, shedules or call sheets for cast memebers and crew. They also have to organise travel and accomodation arrangements for cast, crew and production executives, and at times running errands for them. Then finally they are mostly in charge of dealing with accounts and expenses.
